Now that the kids’ school has started, are you running out of ideas for making their breakfast? I was pretty much on the same boat until I tried out this fruit yogurt. Since my kids really enjoyed this; thought of sharing the recipe with you all.

This cup of yogurt is rich in protein, calcium, fiber, and vitamins. You can also refer to my blog ‘Homemade yogurt — a simple approach’ to make your yogurts at home with the type of milk (raw milk, A2, organic, lactose-free, etc.) that your family prefers.

Let us now jump on to the recipe.

Ingredients:– (one serving)

3 tablespoons of yogurt (homemade or store-bought)

2 teaspoons of chia seeds

2 dates

almonds/pistachios/walnuts

One teaspoon of honey or agave syrup (if needed)

fruits of your choice. I generally use strawberries and bananas

In a bowl take 3 heaped tablespoons of homemade yogurt; add 2 teaspoons of chia seeds, one full(small) banana, 4 strawberries, 2 dates (all chopped), and mix them well using a hand blender. Once it becomes a smooth mixture add one teaspoon of honey/agave syrup; this is needed only if you need it a little bit sweeter, else feel free to ignore sweetening it up. Now top the yogurt with nuts of your choice like almonds/pistachios/walnuts. My daughter loves the crunchiness of almonds on her smooth mixture, so I give a lavish sprinkle of almonds.

This has been such a savior for breakfast in the morning. Please try it out and let me know if you liked it!
